The Warsaw Music Workshop
This appearance was the North American
debut of the Warsaw Music Workshop, a group well established in the forefront of the European musical avant-garde. Featured on the program was leader Zygmunt Krauze's own "Idyll" (1974) for 40 folk instruments especially made by Polish artisans for the Workshop. Also included were new works by Dobrowolski, Kotonski, Serocki, Schaffer and Szalonek.
