Marisol Restaurant and Bar
Marisol can be your neighborhood coffee spot or a new destination for lunch, brunch, dinner, and drinks. The contemporary restaurant carries the spirit of its namesake, the Venezuelan-American pop artist Marisol, whose gift of art began the MCA’s collection in 1968. Chef Jason Hammel pioneers a menu of seasonally inspired dishes that source local, fresh ingredients. Diners and museum visitors enjoy table service with a full bar and private dining space, or counter service with communal tables that form the Street, our new community space to plug in or meet friends.

Tuesdays on the Terrace
On Tuesdays in June–September, stay cool with the breeze off the lake and performances by local jazz musicians from 5:30–8 pm on the Anne and John Kern Terrace Garden.
Dining options on Tuesdays include seasonal offerings on the upper terrace and in the garden. Both locations include a full bar with cold beverages, wine, and cocktails. Tables are available on the upper terrace on a first come, first served basis and there is no table service. A range of catering options are available for parties of 8+ or 20+ guests attending Tuesdays on the Terrace that include reserved seating. For more information, call 312-397-3805.
Guests may also reserve a table at the MCA’s restaurant, Marisol, located on the first floor of the museum. However, music played on the museum’s terrace will not be audible from this location.
