Howard Henry Chen

About

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, in 1972, Howard Henry Chen and his family emigrated to the United States in 1975, a few weeks before the Vietnam War ended. Over the last six years he has traveled back and forth between the US and Vietnam documenting physical evidence of the war and the economic and social changes affected by globalization. Focusing on tourism, both foreign and domestic, Chen records the disparities between Americans’ perceptions of Vietnam and the rapid changes resulting from the country’s growing prosperity.
