In honor of Marisol’s first anniversary, the restaurant and bar in the MCA hosts a celebration dinner on Wednesday, October 24, at 6:30 pm. Some of the city’s best chefs present a special five-course, family-style dinner for $150 per person.
In just one year Marisol, and chefs Jason Hammel and Sarah Rinkavage, have many awards to celebrate. Marisol has been recognized as a best new restaurant by Bon Appétit, Chicago magazine, Forbes, and Vogue. In addition, Chef Sarah Rinkavage was nominated for the prestigious James Beard Rising Star Chef award.
The dinner features dishes from Hammel and Rinkavage, along with chefs Dave and Anna Posey from Elske (recently awarded a Michelin Star) and Top Chef Season 15 winner chef Joe Flamm from Spiaggia.
A portion of the proceeds from the dinner benefit the MCA's Teen Creative Agency, which selects 25 young adults, ages 15 to 19, from diverse areas of Chicago, to immerse themselves in contemporary art and its practices. The program is designed to build confidence, new forms of curatorial knowledge, and skills with an emphasis on public engagement and civic dialogue.
