About

This Tuesday evening program debuts Chicago-based artist Joshua Kent's recent work, A Room within a Winter’s House, a series of three interactive, micro-performances that explore the poetics of the commonplace.

About the Artist

Joshua Kent is an artist whose visual and performative practice navigates the intersection of movement research and sculptural installation. Kent graduated from the performance department of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010, where he was a Presidential Merit Scholar. Seeking to remove distinction from his immersive life practice, Kent has spent the last five years living and working within intentional communities that address issues of poverty and housing.
