Teacher Exchange

About

Celebrate your teaching practice. Join the conversation about the impact of contemporary art on teaching and learning.

How do teachers use contemporary art to foster inquiry, experimentation, and collaboration? Participate in an exchange of ideas around this question and more as we celebrate the end of the school year. Teachers engaged in MCA education programs share their work and insights.

Together we take part in a lively dialogue and interactive gallery experiences exploring the implications of the new knowledge, practices, and questions that have emerged from our work this year. The morning culminates in a festive lunch.

After the program, join us at Harold Washington College from 2–4 pm for an MCA Partner School exhibition featuring AP Studio Arts students from Schurz High School who are presenting their work alongside six mentor artists. Transportation will be provided between the MCA and Harold Washington College.

This program is free, but registration is required. Attendees receive CPDUs. Vouchers for free parking in the MCA garage are provided, pending availability. Public transportation is recommended.
