Affectionately known as the “Lollapalooza of literary events,” Story Week Festival takes place across town over six days for readings, conversations, panels, performances, and book signings with acclaimed authors. Chicago Classics, the festival’s blockbuster reading party, which features some of Chicago’s own luminaries reading each other’s words, takes place at the MCA and is hosted by Rick Kogan. Cosponsored in part by the Chicago Public Library and Metro.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. Join us for a rare solo piano performance by composer and improviser Paul Giallorenzo. Book signings immediately follow the readings, by many of the featured writers including:
