With the launch of this website, the MCA has created a platform for archiving and publishing images and stories from our 50-year history. Though many pages currently lack descriptions or illustrations, we’re committed to a program of ongoing research that will fill in the blanks over time. If you have information about past MCA Stage events, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
This appearance was the North American debut of the Warsaw Music Workshop, a group well established in the forefront of the European musical avant-garde. Featured on the program was leader Zygmunt Krauze's own "Idyll" (1974) for 40 folk instruments especially made by Polish artisans for the Workshop. Also included were new works by Dobrowolski, Kotonski, Serocki, Schaffer and Szalonek.
