Blackearth Percussion

Blackearth Percussion - The Blackearth Percussion Group is an imaginative contemporary ensemble and one of the few American full-time professional percussion groups. This concert was their first Chicago performance following their successful European tour. Included were "Amores" by John Cage, "At Loose Ends" by Herbert Brun, "Les Moutons de Panurge" by Frederic Rzewski, "Marimbastucke" by Maki Ishii and several other works. The normal percussion section was augmented by such exotic instruments as a quarter-tone marimba, a five-octave marimba, three octaves of German cowbells and Chinese instruments.
