Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago

The Mark Bradford Exhibition Opening

Thursday, May 26, 2011, 6:30–9 pm

Deeply influenced by his experience growing up in South Central Los Angeles, artist Mark Bradford addresses the dynamic, complex histories of class, race, and gender in the United States. His layered, multimedia works often incorporate flyers, billboards, and ads from his neighborhood, and address themes of mapping and identity. Join the artist at the MCA on Thursday, May 26, for The Mark Bradford Exhibition Opening. Free to MCA members, and just $20 for nonmembers, this not-to-be-missed event unites Bradford and various Chicago communities, as we collectively shape and are shaped by the artistic process.
