At this unique event, musician and journalist Eric Davidson (Village Voice, CMJ, SF Bay Guardian) signs copies of his first book, We Never Learn: The Gunk Punk Undergut, 1988-2001. Davidson tracks the inspiration and destruction of the last great wave of punk rock, highlighting bands such as the Dwarves, the Gories, the Supersuckers, the Mummies, the Oblivians, Billy Childish, Rocket From The Crypt, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Cheater Slicks, Teengenerate, and the Donnas, among others.

Enjoying various degrees of success and hard luck, and largely ignored by a music industry focused on mega-bands and shiny pop stars, these musicians created their own unique sounds from myriad influences, inspiring a dedicated fan base that extends across the United States, Europe, and Japan.
