Janet Eilber and Carla Maxwell, artistic directors of Martha Graham Dance Company and the Limón Dance Company respectively, engage in a discussion and show archival film of their companies' works. The evening also includes excerpts, performed live, by both legendary companies.

The Martha Graham Dance Company and Limón Dance Company perform landmark works by their legendary founders, Martha Graham and José Limón. The evening also features works by Jerome Robbins and other notable American choreographers performed by dancers from some of America's most respected dance companies, including Oregon Ballet Theatre.

This free performance event includes an all-star lineup of dancers from some of the coutnry's most acclaimed dance companies, including Chicago's own Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Joffrey Ballet, and Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago, and also includes the Chicago premiere of Ballet Tech Kids Dance performing Eliot Feld's choreography. American Ballet Theatre's Yuriko Kajiya and Jared Matthews also return.
