Avant-garde performer, innovative composer, and legendary chanteuse Diamanda Galás' passion and presence is undeniably intense. With her strong emotions, brilliant contrasts and captivating style, Galás reinterprets bittersweet songs of love and death in Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, including those made famous by Johnny Cash, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, and Hank Williams. In Songs of Exile, Galás emotes about the lives of expelled artists, those living away from their homeland. The work, with songs performed in five languages, is composed of Galás' own transcendent compositions set to the words of exiled poets from around the world.
