Fierce, funny and bitingly intelligent - Los Angeles Times
UNIVERSES is the stage integrated with the street; it's social commentary with rhythm, loud and clear. Hailing from the South Bronx, these writers and performers are reshaping the face of American theater, fusing poetry and theater with hip-hop, jazz, boleros and down-home blues. Slanguage turns art into a communal act, creating exuberant, emotional portraits from the rhymes, rituals and real lives of an urban village. "We are witnessing the unmistakable birth of new art for a new generation" (New York Theatre Experience).
