This performance is based on the play, Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, and is directed by Jim Lasko and Charles Newell. Cyrano is based on a new rhymed translation by Mickle Maher.

Court Theatre continues to re-imagine classic work in a collaboration with Chicago's acclaimed Redmoon Theater, combining their formidable talents and creating a world premiere adaptation of the famous French play by Edmond Rostand. Cyrano De Bergerac, guardsman and poet, is cursed with an enormous, bulbous, blossoming beak of a nose. Cyrano loves desperately the beautiful Roxane, but believing that no woman can ever love him because of his large nose, he agrees to help his rival, Christian, win her heart. This collaboration draws on Redmoon's visual artistry and expertise with spectacle, puppets and manipulated objects, while Court leads an exploration of the splendor and humor in the play's language. Charming and beautifully poetic don't miss this romantic tale of the tragic poet-lover with the face of a clown.
