Enigmatic - Luminous - Probing
Big Dance Theater is "deeply brilliant, people need to see this amazing company" (New York Times). In this new production, a timeless classic goes through a psychic blender. Four women and a man gather in a war-torn wasteland to reimagine Antigone and the eternal friction between family and state. The result is visually arresting, emotionally resonant, exceptionally idiosyncratic dance-theater that "resonates in your mind long after it's over" (Village Voice). There will be a First Night post-show talk on February 27.
