Every house has a door
Let us think of these things always. Let us speak of them never.
Feb 9–13, 2011

Every house has a door is a recently formed company, founded by Lin Hixson and Matthew Goulish (formerly of Goat Island), to create project-specific collaborations with invited guests. Let us think of these things always. Let us speak of them never. is a multi-faceted dance-theater work about utopian beliefs, created by artists from different countries and cultures: two performers from Chicago and two from Croatia. Conceived in three parts as performance, film program, and symposium, this innovative work is the first Chicago performance by Every house has a door.
About the Artists
In 2009, Hixson and Goulish closed Goat Island, a Chicago-based collaborative performance group, to create this new group to broaden the canvas to include different collaborators for new projects while maintaining a narrow thematic focus and rigorous presentation. This performance is co-commissioned by the MCA through the National Performance Network Creation Fund, and is the first Chicago performance from Every house has a door.
Funding
Let us think… is a National Performance Network (NPN) Creation Fund Project co-commissioned by P.S. 122 with the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Fusebox Festival, and NPN. Support is also provided from the NPN Forth Fund.
