Shaun Owens-Agase and Tyler Peterson are part of the collaborative team OODA Group, which is named after a decision making cyclical loop of observation, orientation, decision, and action, often used in business and military strategy. For this 12 x 12 exhibition the artists are presenting a conceptual installation which discusses not only the struggle for global power but how point of view shapes the interpretation of information. Looking to the future of this conflict, OODA Group questions both the human fallibility within complex social systems and the current emphasis on the military to gain global superiority. Taking on the form of a frozen explosion, the sculpture presents a projected monument of the future.
