UBS 12 × 12: New Artists/New Work:
David Schutter

March 3 – April 1, 2007

David Schutter's paintings of things are made from memory to demonstrate how the search for essential truths through art is complicated by the unique perspective of the artist and numerous other circumstances. Blurring the boundary between abstraction and representation, his work meditates on how visual memory is rarely consistent and always in flux.
