Giuseppe Gabellone

September 7, 2002 – January 5, 2003

Italian artist Giuseppe Gabellone laboriously constructs sculptures — some sleek and minimal, others biomorphic and earthy — frequently destroying them soon after he takes a photograph. This exhibition includes a large resin sculpture and several photographs, all concentrating on ideas of presence and absence. Giuseppe Gabellone was organized by MCA Manilow Senior Curator Francesco Bonami and Curatorial Assistant Julie Rodrigues.
